Water Source Cooling

When in cooling mode, the SmartSource WSHP utilizes two separate Heat Exchangers (HE) within the refrigerant circuit to cool incoming air before moving it into the space.

Heat from the incoming air is absorbed by the refrigerant through the first HE air coils, turning it into a low pressure/low temperature vapor. It's then moved to the compressor to become a high pressure/high temperature vapor.

The refrigerant enters the second HE where its heat is rejected into the return water loop. The refrigerant is changed to a high pressure/high temperature liquid during this process. A metering device then changed the refrigerant back to a low pressure/low temperature liquid, once again ready to absorb heat from the incoming air.
