Balanced Performance

The SmartSource WSHP utilizes two separate Heat Exchangers (HE) within the refrigerant circuit to heat or cool incoming air before moving it into the space.

When heating, as it passes through the heat exchangers and compressor, the refrigerant goes from a low pressure/low temperature liquid to a high pressure/high temperature vapor. Its heat is rejected into the air, heating it, before it turns back to a low pressure/low temperature liquid ready to repeat the process.

In cooling mode, as it passes through the heat exchangers and compressor, the refrigerant goes from a low pressure/low temperature liquid to a high pressure/high temperature vapor. Its heat is rejected into the return line water, heating it, before it turns back to a low pressure/low temperature liquid ready to repeat the process.
